Description
During your traineeship, you will work on projects for various (inter)national clients, ranging from fine-dining restaurants and (new) hotel chains to fast-casual concepts and state-of-the-art corporate catering, under the guidance of our concept development coordinator and project manager. Concept development and consultancy start with a client’s question, followed by brainstorming and testing ideas within the market. Your tasks will involve trend research, extensive market analysis, competitor assessments, advisory reports, and sourcing suitable partners. You will play an active role in the concept phase through brainstorming and assist in drafting concept briefs and in pre-opening stages (e.g., developing menus, budgeting, selecting tableware, planning layouts and routing, creating staff manuals, compiling equipment lists, and selecting suppliers). Depending on your growth and ambition, there may be opportunities to independently manage a project or take on an individual assignment. We are looking for someone who is: Eager to learn, has strong analytical skills and works independently with focus and organization; is an ambitious team player with a high-standard mentality and a can-do attitude; is honest, helpful, flexible, and resilient under pressure; as well as a professional communicator: verbal & written, in both Dutch & English; Takes responsibility for final outcomes; Passionate about hospitality, food service, and F&B - Trend-aware, curious, commercially-minded, and innovative - Proficient with MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Pages - Empathetic to client needs - Affinity with F&B concept development and (hospitality) consultancy. You need to be: Available for at least 5-6 months In the final phase of an MBO/HBO-level study in Hotel Management, Small Business and Retail Management, Lifestyle Studies, or another relevant food/business-related program with relevant minors (e.g., new business creation, food service, marketing, brand management); Some years of operational experience in hospitality or a prior internship in a hotel’s F&B department is a plus. You’ll spend 40 hours a week working on the future of hospitality, with great colleagues, a competitive internship allowance, and personal development opportunities.
